Today, we're introducing Workspace API Keys — a new way to authenticate applications, services, and automation workflows across your Queue workspace.

Until now, API access was tied primarily to individual users. While this worked well for development and experimentation, larger teams needed a more scalable solution for production systems, CI/CD pipelines, backend services, and internal tooling. Workspace API Keys solve that problem by providing centralized, workspace-level authentication that isn't dependent on any individual account.

Built for automation at scale

As organizations deploy more agents and workflows, automation quickly becomes part of critical business infrastructure. Agents run scheduled jobs, process customer requests, manage deployments, and interact with dozens of external systems.

Workspace API Keys make these workflows easier to manage by providing a dedicated authentication layer for services and applications. Instead of relying on personal credentials, teams can create keys that belong directly to the workspace and are managed centrally.

Secure by default

Security was a core consideration throughout the design of Workspace API Keys.

Every key can be created, rotated, and revoked directly from the workspace dashboard. Teams can manage access centrally and maintain visibility into which systems are connected to Queue.

Workspace-level authentication also reduces operational risk by removing dependencies on individual employee accounts. If a team member leaves the company, critical automations continue running without interruption.

Combined with Queue's existing permission model, Workspace API Keys provide a secure and scalable way to power both internal and customer-facing applications.
